OUR STORY
A little girl, a big idea, and a lifetime of believing anything is possible.
About the Author
Linda Coughlin has been an entrepreneur, a mother, a grandmother, and a believer in possibility for most of her life. Now, proudly in her sixties, she can add something entirely new to that list: author.
The Yes Day is Linda’s first book, inspired by a very special little girl named Bella and by the simple but powerful idea that confidence is built one brave step at a time. Watching Bella learn to face things that once felt difficult or uncertain reminded Linda that some of life’s most important lessons begin with a little courage—and someone who believes you can do it.
That belief has been part of Linda’s own life from the beginning. An entrepreneur throughout her adult life, she has never been afraid to start something new, follow an idea, change direction, or dream about what might come next. She credits much of that spirit to her father, Tony Silva, who spent a lifetime reminding her that she could do anything she wanted to do.
The Yes Day is dedicated in part to him and to the extraordinary gift of having someone believe in you before you are quite sure you believe in yourself.
Linda hopes this book will encourage parents, grandparents, and children to create their own Yes Days—not simply as days filled with fun, but as celebrations of courage, growth, confidence, and all those small victories that deserve to be remembered.
And perhaps there is one more lesson tucked inside these pages: you are never too old—or too young—to say yes to something new.
